Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is an actress and model American-born model and actress. Her modeling career began in 1990. She soon shifted into acting following appearances as a guest on TV shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. Her film debut came in the dramatic film Nowhere. Her performances on the film American Beauty, for which she won a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader attention. After that, she was as a co-star in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal character in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun And Trauma a thriller film from 2004, were two of her appearances. In addition, she was a part of the HBO the drama Six Feet Under. The drama was popular in 2004, and in 2005, the Screen Actors' Guild nominated her as one of the outstanding stars. In 2008, she was featured in various films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as in the adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a model in Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she's also been featured on several blogs and fashion magazines, including Vogue. Suvari has been a long-time activist and supporter to the African Medical and Research Foundation. She also is active on issues of female empowerment and is associated with groups that help raise awareness about breast cancer as well as women's rights and the End Violence Against Women Campaign.
