Julie Chen Moonves, who was one of the initial hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show) was back on the air to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd season. Her writing background was evident prior to becoming a host, however her true desire was to write. It actually won her an Emmy. The network's news affiliate. From 1990-1991 she also was desk assistant for ABC News Los Angeles. Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk associate to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline with Ted Koppel, who remains among her journalistic idols. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont program Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on the Los Angeles riots of '92.
